	Last release defaulted ps_simm to "no", when I prefer it to
	default to "yes".

	Ghostscript really can't be used as a plain filter because it
	has no way to separate the stdout of the Postscript interpreter
	from the stdout of the device driver.  This typically results
	in progress messages from files produced by Windows 95 (such as
	"Page 1:") being intermingled in the PCL output.  No good.

	To work around this problem, I've done some serious changes to
	the plumbing of "gs" in the filter pipeline.  It seems to do
	the trick, and still avoids using a temporary file.
